PTO December Meeting
Our next meeting will be Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 in the Library. The staff speaker will be Ms. Maureen Olejar – Careers Department Chair.
Have you visited the school campus since School Pride Day on October 25th? Student and teacher volunteers spent an afternoon planting and cleaning up the campus. A special thank you to Mr. McFarland and a group of his students for creating a special area around the Olivia Hanning memorial bench out front. Thank you to Dr. Prillaman for organizing the day. The PTO is proud to provide financial support for this annual school beautification day.
Due to the limited number of school days in November, the Students in Action Club will be holding their annual Food Drive from Monday, November 28th to Friday, December 16th. The goal is 3,500 canned and boxed goods. As you shop and prepare for Thanksgiving, consider purchasing some extra supplies to donate to this great cause. When the goal is reached, the entire school will receive 3 dress down days. The food will be donated to the local community for the holiday season. Additional details may be found on the Food Drive Flyer.
Spirit Wear will be sold on Wednesday, November 30th from 2:30-5:30 in the Library during Give to Liv, Saturday, December 10th during Choice Interviews and again on Tuesday, December 13th at the Band/Chorus concert. Stop by and stock up on gifts. If you are in need of items and unable to come in person, contact Grace Logemann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Giv For Liv
Last year we lost a valuable member of our 6th grade team, Olivia Hannig. Her family started a scholarship in her memory. Please join us for a fundraiser to support the scholarship fund on Wednesday, November 30th from 2:30-5:30 pm in the library. It is called Give to Liv. All participating vendors will be donating a portion of their sales to the scholarship fund.
The PTO will be selling spirit wear and refreshments. So come out and get a start on holiday shopping while giving to a great cause. Please see flyer for more information.
