Next PTO Meeting

Our next PTO meeting will be on June 8th at 7:00 pm in the Library. We will be reviewing the year and budget to date standings. Discussing fundraising for next year. Recognizing parent volunteers. Come and hear how we did for the year, celebrate our successes and help us plan for the future.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our No Hassle Fundraiser class winners: Ms. Ashley Miller – High School and Ms. Jessie Glynn – Middle School. We raised $2135.00 total this year. Thank you to everyone that participated. The classes received breakfast on 6/5.

This year’s Conrad Way Award recipients were seniors Devon Collazo and Todd Jacobs. Each received $300.

Congratulations to the newly elected 2017/2018 PTO Board: President – Alex Williamson, MS Vice President – Shane Jackson, Treasurer – Jessica Riviere, 8th Grade Parent Coordinators – Janine Clarke and Sheryl Zitzelberger, 10th Grade Parent Coordinators – Jaime Gilley and Danine Erhart, 11th Grade Parent Coordinators – Pam Wunder and Sarah Munden. Several positions remain open and will be voted on again in September in addition to the 6th & 9th Grade parent coordinators.

Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Appreciation was not forgotten. Since it was in the middle of so many events asking for donations, we utilized our budget and had students write thank you notes to the teachers. The teachers were treated to a grab and go breakfast, lunch from Bachetti’s, snack day and a pack of Extra gum with a note for the Extraordinary teachers along with notes from students.

8th Grade Formal

The 8th Grade Formal – A Night in Vegas – will take place on Friday, May 12 in the gym. This is a wonderful night that is one of the culminating events for our oldest Middle School students. Tickets are $15 and will be sold from May 8-12 during lunch. Conrad students may bring guests from other schools as long as the following form is turned in at the time of the ticket sale.

Hassle Free Fundraiser

Our Hassle Free Fundraiser has started! We know that everyone is busy and has little time to seek out buyers and deliver goods. Our goal is to raise $4000.00. To donate, fill out this form- 2017 No Hassle Fundraiser.pdf -and have your student return it to their 5th period teacher by or online at www.conradpto.com. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available upon request. We are off to a great start and have raised over $1000.00 in 4 days! We are extending the deadline to Friday, April 28th. Thank you to the families that have graciously donated already, your support is greatly appreciated.

After Prom

Conrad’s After Prom is coming back to the school gym on Friday, May 5th at 11:30 pm! We are in need of food and gift card donations. We are also looking for parents that want to have fun while keeping our children safe after the prom. Volunteers are needed to help set up, receive food donations, decorate, chaperone and clean up. After Prom Tickets are now on sale at the office and will be sold during 3rd and 4th lunch beginning on Monday, 04/24 and throughThursday 5/4.

The tickets are $5.00 per person and the event is being held on Friday, May 5th from 11:30pm – 2:30am.

**Conrad students attending must have a completed STUDENT/PARENT AGREEMENT/PERMISSION SLIP

**Guests attending must have a completed  GUEST REGISTRATION FORM

Join us for a picnic on Friday May 19 from 5 to 8 pm on the football field. We’ll provide the food and games – you bring the fun. All family members are welcome, but this is not a drop-off event, at least one adult must attend with their child. $5 per person.

In order to be successful, we need your help. Please consider donating an hour or so of your time during the event, shifts are in 90 minute increments or less. There will be dancing, games, amusements and refreshments. It is a great way to celebrate the culmination of their Middle School years. A sign up for volunteers will be sent out after Spring Break. We will need help all day on May 12 and at the event, as well.

8th Grade Formal Candy Donations – We will be setting up an elaborate candy bar at the 8th grade formal, as part of the refreshments. Next PTO Meeting

Our next PTO meeting will be Thursday, April 13th. Mr. Bill Coughlin, Science Department Chair, is the faculty presenter. We will also have a presentation on “Raising Financially Fit Kids”. Come out and learn about teaching your children better money skills based on age, how to handle an allowance, setting and saving for financial goals, budgeting for each age group and using credit wisely.
